Glasseast, formerly Wally's Glass, is a full service glass company here in Gisborne run by Michael and Amie Allmark, a husband and wife team. Michael is a qualified glazier who has worked in the glass industry for over 25 years gaining a wealth of knowledge and expertise that he takes pride in using to come up with the best solutions for the customers needs.
Amie, a local Gisborne girl, does the administration for the small family owned business whilst homeschooling their two girls, Cayleigh aged 9 and Bethany 7. Their girls can sometimes be seen helping Dad, a bit of real life learning throughout their homeschool day.
They relocated from Wellington to Gisborne in 2011 to start their family and bought Wally’s Glass in September 2017. After close to 8 yearsoperatingunder the Wally’s Glass name they decided it was time for a change. So in 2025 they changed the name to Glasseast to better reflect their values and reputation.
Glasseast reflects their location on the East Coast of NZ and their family’s love of the beach and annual camping holidays on the coast. It’s also a bit of a fun play on words. “Glasseast” as in “Glassiest” or “Classiest”. they are the “classiest” glass business in town.
They operate from home based premises so they can offer you a fully mobile service and affordable glasswork.
